Contrary to what we write, we actually love anime conventions.

Lots of nerds consider anime and gaming the same bag, and while that's not f**king true because video games are so much better, we never pass up the chance to see good cosplay come out of it. SakuraCon 2009 was no exception, and we've been looking at dozens of kickass costumes. If you didn't pack up your car and hit the convention, here's what descended upon Seattle.

"Vaporeon in the Wild"

HAH. That guy in the background looks like he wants to catch a Vaporeon. With his pants. The scared look on Pokemon girl's face really makes this picture a keeper. Mmm, tail.


"Nerdette Cosplay Under Sakura Tree"

The tree really takes the eye away from the Samurai Showdown cosplayer's gut.


"Final Fantasy Furry"

Oh, yes, please. This the way I prefer my furries. More skin!


"Katamari Clan Can-Can"

Fully body costumes are something I generally frown upon (no cleavage), but my stupid co-worker's got a soft spot for Katamari cosplay. Nerd.


"Best Fighting Move in History"

Sweet Jeezus. I would die happy if this was the last picture of my life. Getting crushed between Cammy's thighs: OH YES PLEASE DO WANT.

Nah that didn't work.

It's the Final Fantasy one that doesn't show up. All I see is the text for it, but there is no box for the picture. It's ok though, I'll get back at pig and just eat some ham

Picking on nerds dressed of naruto or inuyasha fells good man

Some people are a little weird.

I guess it's better than joining cults, and committing mass suicide, so maybe they're not completely insane.

Also, should I be looking at the girl in the right of the top pic. She looks kinda young.
