Any girl can throw up a MySpace picture with a controller in hand and claim to be a gamer, but these ladies took it to the next level with a true love of gaming. These 13 women are loved by gamers far and wide -- and not just because they're so damn pretty! They may be models, writers, bloggers, developers, and TV hosts, but these girls carry more gaming spirit in them than most of us ever will...
13/12 (TIE): The Athena Twins
Athena Twin PMS and Athena PMS (also known as Valkyrie of the Frag Dolls) are famous for founding the PMS Clan. Pandora's Mighty Soldiers are one of the most feared armies in the world of competitive gaming, and you'd be wise to fear them. Fear them!
11: Kristin Holt
This former Dallas Cowboy cheerleader has come a long way from the NFL -- although Kristin Holt broke into TV with her pretty smile and sweet singing voice, her hosting duties on G4's Cheat have many a gamer getting hot and bothered over unlimited ammo and infinite continues.
10: Becky "Aktrez" Young
Becky Young started "taking the gaming world by storm" in 2004 when she landed a job as a Marketing Coordinator for Mythic Entertainment on the title Dark Age of Camelot. She's been blogging and chatting with her gaming fans and making appearances at tons of conventions -- as well as coordinating the popular Video Games Live concerts. Miss Young's recently had a hand in creating the Girls Entertainment Network, a nerd and gamer community run and maintained by an all-female staff. That's a lot of work for one gamer girl. Bravo, Becky.
9: Jade Raymond
As the lead producer of Assassin's Creed, Jade Raymond brought more press to her game than anyone anticipated. She created a internet hot flash with her winning grin and extensive gaming knowledge, and we've never forgotten it. Dear me, Miss Raymond, I do believe I've got the vapors!
8: Kim Swift
Not just anyone can fill a room at the Game Developers Conference, but Kim Swift -- level designer and team lead for Valve's Portal -- had no trouble bringing the gamers in. She's funny, smart, and knows how to make a great game. We're more than excited to see what Swift brings us in the next Portal!
7: Jane Pinckard
Few women have done more work in gaming journalism than Jane Pinckard. One of her biggest achievements has been co-creating the 1UP Show, where her legacy lives on in the internet. She's worked for all the big names in gaming -- GamePro, EGM, and GDC -- as well as creating the popular Game Girl Advance website. (Check it out!) We love you, Jane!
6: Stevie "Killcreek" Case
Nostalgia attack! Stevie Case is regarded as the first girl gamer, defeating the once-immortal John Romero in a Quake deathmatch. While picking up various jobs in the gaming industry, she also posed for Playboy. It didn't get into the magazine, but we've got the internet for that! Yowza!
5: Jo Garcia
Jo Garcia, Playboy's 2008 Cyber Girl of the Year, is more gamer than most people would ever believe. She fondly remembers playing Metroid as a kid, and loves herself some Wii Fit. At the very least, she's played more Final Fantasy XII than you have!
4: Raychul Moore
Our very own Raychul is one of the many lovely faces of GameGirl and someone instantly recognized by anyone in the industry. How could anyone resist that beautiful and disarming smile? This blogger/gamer/model is one of the best writers you'll come across!
3: Rhoulette
The founder of the Frag Dolls is our favorite of these fearsome females. Rhoulette (a.k.a. Romine) has the powerful position as the Frag Dolls' leader and captain, as well as working for Ubisoft in community management and public promotions. If you meet Rhoulette in the field of battle, simply pray.
2: Morgan Webb
Our favorite gaming Candian, Miss Morgan Webb first captured our hearts during her appearances on TechTV's Screen Savers as their Window/Linux expert. When G4 took the wheel, Webb became a gaming phenomenon with her work on X-Play and her columns in For Him Magazine ("Tips From The Gaming Goddess"). When Webb appeared in Maxim for her famous July 2004 photoshoot, she was forever hailed as one of the gaming industry's sexist women EVER.
1: Jessica Chobot
If licking a PSP makes you famous, that's something that can only be described as "the right stuff". As IGN's main video host, you can see Jessica Chobot everywhere from E3 to GDC. Having met her in person, I can tell you she's got a presence that simply knocks out your senses and buckles your knees. It's like magic. Miss Chobot is a super-electric game-playing super-nerd made of magic!
