There's been a lot of news making waves around the message boards -- Konami giving gag orders, Itagaki leaving Tecmo, and Uwe Boll being a menace to society -- but Bioshock coming to PlayStation 3 is a BIG one. Who in the Hell saw that one coming? What this says about exclusivity in the gaming world, no one knows...
Today on ForumLife, from our forum phenoms: Bioshock to PS3 is a huge blow to Microshaft.
darealdaddyknowsbest kicked things off with a quick quip:
"I wasn't going to get the game but since it scored so high, I figure why not. I can see Gears of War soon coming to the PS3 also, so Microsoft better pull out some cash because 3rd party Exclusives will be NO MORE!"
DoctorIrish: "Sounds like a good idea to me. That would kill some fanboys. Gears 2 can go to the Ps3, and MGS4 can go to the 360."
FETALJUICE: "In the interest of remaining neutral, Sony hasn't produced games that made me go "Dude, I have to play this NOW!" (EXCEPT for MGS4). Then again, Microsoft this year barely has any good games to look forward to. I just want to play Gears 2 when it comes out too."
neogigames: "MGS4 will be on the 360 before Gears makes it to Playstation, sucka."
TheTeacher: "No way Gears would ever come to PS3 (especially with the loss of Bioshock and - possibly - Mass Effect). But I still think it's funny how fanboys will bash the life out of an exclusive game. But as soon as that game ends up on their system, then it's okay... lol"
Turbo07: "This isn't going to hurt the 360. Maybe if the game came out on the PS3 a month after the 360 release it would have been a blow. But, this isn't even a system seller. This is pretty much like Lost Planet being ported to the PS3 except Bioshock is actually a good game."
Auen1: "no it isn't would it be a huge blow to you if some girl you were dating went on to see some guy a year after you left her for younger more vigorous prospects? i wouldn't think so."
